Parkinson’s Disease 101: A brief overview of the disease and how it impacts our community

Dr. Mindy Lokshin received her MD from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and did her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Iowa and the University of Missouri, where she also received her MSPH.  She practiced family medicine in Connecticut and Reno, Nevada.  Dr. Lokshin also worked for the Bureau of Disability for 3 years.

After retiring from medicine, Dr. Lokshin founded the Parkinson Support Center of Northern Nevada.  She has several family members and close friends with Parkinson’s disease, saw the needs in northern Nevada, and never lost her passion for helping others.
